DMC sudo Commands

You can use the following list of sudo commands for the Deployment Monitoring Console (DMC) starting with version 7.0.

Set up User

  1. sudo useradd -m datical
  2. sudo passwd datical
  3. sudo usermod -aG wheel datical

Install Commands

Interactive: sudo bash /path/to/datical-service-unix-<version>-master.sh

Silent: sudo ./datical-service-unix-<version>-master.sh -q -varfile <varfile>

Uninstall Commands

sudo /opt/datical/uninstall

Configuring Hostname & IP Commands

  1. sudo datical-control network set-cluster-hostname <new-hostname>
  2. sudo datical-control network reconfigure --ip <new-ip-address>
  3. sudo datical-control db show --include-password
  4. sudo datical-control network set-external-hostname <desiredHostname>

Start all services (demo mode only):

sudo datical-control service start ALL

Stop all services (demo mode only):

sudo datical-control service stop ALL

Start all services (production mode):

  1. sudo datical-control service start keycloak
  2. sudo datical-control service start datical-service
  3. sudo datical-control service start proxy

Stop all services (production mode):

  1. sudo datical-control service stop proxy
  2. sudo datical-control service stop datical-service
  3. sudo datical-control service stop keycloak

View Logs:

View logs in the CLI

To view logs in the CLI, run one of these commands to produce your service log, keycloak log, or proxy log.

sudo datical-control logs datical-service
sudo datical-control logs keycloak
sudo datical-control logs proxy

View logs in a text file

If you need to produce a text file that you can send to our Support team, add > exampleServiceLog.txt to the end of the command.

Examples:

sudo datical-control logs datical-service > servicelog.txt
sudo datical-control logs keycloak > keycloaklog.txt
sudo datical-control logs proxy > proxylog.txt

Troubleshooting Commands

sudo datical-control troubleshoot
sudo datical-control service status datical-service
sudo datical-control logs datical-service --follow
sudo datical-control logs proxy
sudo datical-control logs proxy --follow
sudo find /etc/ -name datical-service*
